Well, this is a question that can be interpreted in few different ways:
Blog
I've always wanted to start a website. I know fair amount of enough HTML to get by and had worked as a web programmer, but I'm somewhat lazy when it comes to doing things for myself. The main reason to start this blog was so I can communicate with friends during my pilgrimage to become a Buddhist monk in 2007. The blog sort of evolved after that to become more like a dumping ground of what my thoughts are during any given time of the day.
"Buddhafied"
During a farewell dinner, Bill, a best friend of mine, created the term. I thought it suits my personality and what I was about to do. When I registered the blog, that's the word that came to my mind and it had become my alias since then. In August 2010, I finally were able to register the domain buddhafied.com. So I guess from there on, I am Buddhafied.
Buddhism
This is probably the hardest question to answer. Far as I remember, I've always wanted to be a monk. I think there's really something in me that I have to do this.
I've always had (and still have) a fanscination towards religion. Throughout human history, religion is strongly connected to human behavior, economy, laws and politics. I think by understanding religion, we're able to furthur understand ourselves.
I consider Buddhism as a philosophy and sort of a way of life rather than a religion. It has the philosophical side which enabled me to think and answer many questions I have since I was little. It also has the magical and spiritual side which I could not find in other religions (at least based the ones that I have the chance to understand). Having said that, however, I respect all religions that teach people to enhance their good and promote equality.
