I used to be a special event security supervisor at the Vancouver Aquarium at night (you heard it right, security guard!). They sometimes do small functions there for corporations. Along with the beautiful fish tanks, dopey looking sea lions and the amazing beluga whales, the sea otters, Milo and Nyac, at the Vancouver Aquarium had to be one of the biggest celebrities there.

(for those who don't know, Milo is the lighter one and Nyac the darker)
I had the privilege of standing right up to them and watched them doing that all night peacefully. They're honestly the cutest couples I've ever seen. Sometimes, when they drifted apart while falling asleep, one of them will wake up (usually Milo) realizing they're no longer holding hands and quickly swim back holding hands again. It's as if they can't stand being away from each other.
Nyac passed away a few years back and tonight our beloved Milo also passed away from battling lymphoma for over 6 months (which is ironic to me as I posted about Team in Training last night...)
Thank you for bringing us joy with your love for each other, Milo and Nyac. May you two hold hands forever.

Hello, friend. I just had to pop in and say that I'm LOVING that you're back, and I'm reading every single post (usually multiple times :>) even though I've been stinky at commenting. I'll get better at that. It's really good to hear your voice again - please keep writing. And also, your headers are freaking adorable. I want that pic of you with the umbrella so it can be your avatar/pic in my iPhone.

<3 They will be forever missed. They were the one of the main reasons I would go to the aquarium! I could stand there all day and watch them and not be bored! May they both rest in peace holding hands.

Wait a minute, Milo is the lighter one? Are you sure that's not a typo because in all the pictures I've seen of the two, Nyac is the lighter one...
