Return of the Soul Patrol

Finally got Taylor Hicks' debut album last night, I've got to say it's absolutely amazing. In his interviews before the album, he said that the music is going to be Cajan meets soul meets hip sounds, the album sure lived up to that. It's definitely what I expected from him based on his Amierican Idol performance, and a little bit more.

The album is full of fun and sparkles. The first single The Runaround carries Hicks' signature personality, you can literally visualize his goofy dance moves while listening. It's upbeat and easy listen. It followed by The CD concludes with The Right Place, which was originally written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance for Ray Charles to record before his death. It showcase his voice perfectly, which reminds me one of his best performance on AI Season 5, You Are So Beautiful.

The H-Day

Wow, this is it... there's no turning back after today. I can no longer tell people I'm in my mid-20's... and the big "three-zero" is just around the corner.

I was talking to Jeffery a few days ago, and he reminded me how dramatized I was when I turn 20; it honestly felt like a few days ago. Now the era is coming to an end I just wish I will spend the rest of it wisely and make the fullest out of it.

Since I have nothing better to do, let's read what they say about me on my birthday horoscope:

This stuff always make me feel good about myself even though I know they're a bunch of bullsh*t. :D Though in ways I guess that what it say was pretty close to my "contrasted" personality, hehehe

All I care about today though, is the release of Taylor Hicks' CD! SOUL PATROL!!!!

Anger... Regrets...

I did something terrible this morning out of my anger, and I regret so much about it I almost cried.

Cleo can be stubborn: for a British Bulldog, she might not be the worst, but she's definitely way up there compare to most living things. This morning, she refused of walking with me in the rain. I got so frustrated with her I dragged her and pulled as hard as I can until she had to take steps. I was so angry to the point that I didn't even look back and see her conditions. When I finally look at her after a block, her mouth was cover with foam because I pulled her so hard she was having gag reflex. My heart fell.

When we got home finally, Cleo was clearly upset. She refused to look at me and not even take treats from me... I almost cried.

I can't believe I let my anger raged to the point that I hurted her physically and mentally.

Let this be a lesson for myself... to not let small things like this get on my nerve, because the thoughts and guilt I had when I was driving to work thinking I might lose her was unbearable.

Sorry my little angel, please forgive me.
